Most people (outside of London) confuse Tower Bridge for London Bridge. But this is Tower Bridge. Opened in 1894 and took 8 years to build. 450 men built the tower and 8 died. It’s a steel structure, but bricks that make up the two tower facades are in place to make the tower blend in with the near by Tower if London. Tours start at around £15. This grants you access to the top of the the north tower, a walk across the east and west side (where there is now a glass walkway), access to the engine room below the south side tower, and free access to The Monument (near Fenchurch) at a later date of your choosing.
